"Boukyaku Battery" (忘却バッテリー) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eko Mikawa. It follows a once-legendary baseball battery—Haruka Kiyomine, a talented pitcher, and Kei Kaname, a genius catcher—who had dominated middle school baseball but were separated due to an accident that caused Kaname to lose his baseball memories. Now in high school, they reunite at a school where former baseball prodigies, who had given up the sport, gather. Together, they aim to rediscover their passion for baseball and build a new team.
The Boukyaku Battery anime, adapted from Eco Mikawa’s manga, is set to premiere on April 9, 2024, with animation produced by MAPPA. The series follows a once-unstoppable baseball duo—pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and catcher Kei Kaname—who unexpectedly enroll in a lesser-known high school after Kaname loses his memory.
