How was “Doki Doki” Land (ドキドキランド) created?

First, let’s learn some Japanese (=^-^=).

Doki Doki (doki-doki) written in Japanese as ドキドキ, is a Japanese onomatopoeia for a heart beating quickly, usually with anticipation or excitement. In simple terms it just means the sound of a beating heart in Japanese sound symbolism that is used to express our feelings with excitement, love, nervousness and anticipation. This is the feeling you may experience especially when playing Ichiban Kuji with us. :D

Doki Doki Land was created with a passion for bringing some of Japan to Canada. Having visited Japan several times, we must say our favorite parts were the food, shopping, and games! It was such an amazing and unforgettable experience every time we went. After returning from Japan, we knew we had to share this with our local friends here in Canada.

In 2021, it finally happened. That's where it all started,  a 'Land' filled with new, fun, exciting cool stuff, surprises, and much more! And you'll feel 'Doki Doki (ドキドキ)' every time you come to the store or shop with us online.
